What The Candidates Drive

The Associated Press conducted a poll of the various candidates, questioning them as to the cars they drive. Interestingly, only two individuals use cars which would still be allowable if the recent Senate Commerce Committee proposal was in full effect today: Senator Brownback has a Honda Civic Hybrid among his cars (he uses a Ford Taurus when he's in Washington). Senator Tancredo uses a Toyota Prius Hybrid in addition to his Cadilac, Mercedes, and Buick. Rep. Hunter and Senator Biden have the most gas guzzling vehicles, an old Suburban and a classic 'Vette, respectively. Senator Obama, who recently lambasted the auto industry for building gas guzzlers, drives the attractive, well-built, Chrysler 300M.
